An artistic journey that began in Rome and conquered the world

Ryan Paris, stage name of Fabio Roscioli, is an Italian singer, musician, and composer born in Rome. From a young age, he cultivated a strong passion for music, studying classical guitar and acting and furthering his training at the Frosinone Conservatory in arranging for Big jazz orchestra.

Alongside his musical career, he worked as a teacher at the historic Scuola Popolare di Musica in Testaccio and also ventured into the world of film, participating in internationally renowned productions, including Sergio Leone’s famous film Once Upon a Time in America.

His career spanned music, entertainment, and artistic research, laying the foundations for what would become one of the most iconic names in Italian music worldwide.

The Birth of “Dolce Vita” and Worldwide Success

In the 1970s, Fabio Roscioli founded the rock band The Berenice Hair. In the early 1980s, he formed The Gigolos with his brother Gianni, also playing guitar in the classical and South American guitar trio Rumba Tres.

In 1982, while searching for a new keyboardist for The Gigolos, he met composer and producer Pierluigi Giombini. Impressed by his voice and charisma, Giombini wrote the song Dolce Vita especially for him.

In 1983, Fabio Roscioli adopted the stage name Ryan Paris and released the single that would change his life. Dolce Vita immediately became an international hit, reaching the top of the European charts and reaching number five in the UK.

This success led Ryan Paris to perform twice on the historic British show Top of the Pops, establishing him as one of the iconic figures of Italo Disco worldwide.
